Educational Requirements for the Position

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Two years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs complex coordinating activities for the East Texas Ed Aide program and supervisory work within the program.


Primary Responsibilities

Serves the East Texas Ed Aide program by performing complex coordinating activities. Meets with East Texas Ed Aide, provides support for the students, advises students as they navigate earning a college degree and teaching credentials, tracks their progress toward certification, assists with navigating challenges within higher education, and connects them with other support as needed. Confers with faculty, staff, and administration program issues and problems and implements solutions. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the program. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
