Educational Requirements for the Position
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution. Three years relevant experience. Demonstrated experience with relational database design. Experience with at least one of: PHP, Java, Python, or other object-oriented tools. Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML5. Working understanding of developing, testing, and deploying applications, and software development life cycle and quality control practices. Skills in one or more of the following: RESTful services development, service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, MVC and related patterns. Experience working with distributed technical teams working in an agile/scrum environment. A combination of education and relevant experience that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Contributes towards all phases of a delivery project, including systems analysis, architecture and technical design, development, build & release, and maintenance. Provides innovative technology solutions to grow and stabilize the technology platforms along with improving the processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Conceptualize design, implement, and develop solutions for systems/programs. Works with a variety of users to gain information, and develops intra-system tradeoffs between different users, as necessary; interacts with a diverse client base and outside vendor contacts. Documents system builds and application configurations; maintains and updates documentation as needed. Provides technical analysis, design, development, conversion, and implementation work. Occasionally leads moderately complex projects. Maintains relationships with stakeholders and anticipates technical improvements for applications. Compares, evaluates, and implements new features and technologies, and integrates them into the computing environment. Contributes to team software development methodology. Performs other related duties as assigned.

May interpret and apply complex policies affecting one or more functional areas. Work requires a moderate level of judgment and reasoning to solve problems. Work requires attention to detail as errors may be serious. Self-motivated, rapid learner, and exceptional communicator with the ability to translate between business and technical partners. Ability to adapt and apply broad standards and practices to a variety of situations.
Up to 100% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
