Job Description

The Senior Information Systems Analyst position (100111), for the Financial Information Systems and Technology department, will primarily support and administer the CBORD’s CS Gold system. The CS Gold system is a campus-wide campus ID system that is used by Housing, Dining, Recreation Services, Student Services, Information Technology, and numerous other places on and off campus. It is used for Building Access, Campus ID Creation, Cardinal Cash/Burris Bucks/Dining Plus Purchases, and Meal Plan management.

This position will provide technical support to configure and maintain the CS Gold servers and equipment; support all interfaces between the CS Gold system to other systems; troubleshoot and resolve CS Gold issues; plan and schedule CS Gold system updates; maintain documentation, and training materials; along with other responsibilities for the Financial Information Systems and Technology department.

Position Function:

Research, advise, collaborate, develop computing solutions, and provide ongoing supporting services to Ball State University. Design and implement business computing strategies that support and align with Ball State University goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree:


  1. Associate’s degree plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to two years.

Or


  1. High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to four years.

At least five years of experience with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or other relational database systems.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the CBORD’s CS Gold system, or other campus card systems. Windows Server Administration. Project management experience. Oriented toward good customer service in a team environment; effective management of multiple projects and deadlines.
