Job Description
Overview:
Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks a highly motivated team player with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships for an educational technologist position. This role provides technical support and coaching to faculty in the area of academic technologies that promote student success and enhance teaching and learning. The educational technologist supports the Canvas learning management system and integrations, training end users, as well as, provide systems administration support of related classroom technologies and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with two years of related work experience or an associate degree and four years of directly related work experience
- Demonstrated experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS),
- Demonstrated knowledge of educational technologies like Hypothesis, Poll Everywhere, or other authoring programs systems like Camtasia, Articulate, Soft Chalk
- Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving, research skills
- Experience managing projects and/or programs independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic and tactful manner
- Prior experience with API, HTML and PHP preferred
- Highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative
relationships with all levels - Ability to adapt to changing demands and instructional needs

Potential for Permanent Hybrid/Remote Work Condition: Information Technology Services are currently working in a hybrid model. On-campus work will be required for this role, but opportunities for hybrid work are available. The university reserves the right to set the conditions and location of the employment, including changing to a more traditional inhouse work model if that is necessary to effectively meet the mission of the university and responsibilities of this position.
Ability to work a flexible schedule according to departmental needs, which may include occasional evenings and weekends.
