In the role of Program Coordinator I working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our Program Coordinator works closely with the Education/QA Coordinator, the Lead Beacon Coordinator, and CTO Research nurses and coordinators to coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities related to the Beacon protocol builds for the EPIC system. Provides support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program’s goals.



Collaborate on the development of Beacon ordering system materials, workflows and new procedures for the Beacon build with other team members including CTO research nurse/coordinators, nursing staff, investigators, pharmacist and beacon build team members.


Assist the Lead Beacon Quality Coordinator in submissions of new protocols in the EPIC/Beacon system. Analyzes and interpret new study protocols, extracts necessary data, and submits for further processing.


Assist with the Central management of protocol modifications and updates for the CTO for the Beacon system. Analyzes new amendments to the study protocols already in use, prepares and submits modification requests.


Provides review documents to research teams in appropriate format to allow for feedback prior to Beacon Protocol Review Meetings. Compiles feedback prior to, during, and after the meeting in a format useful to the Beacon Informatics Team.


Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program components. Schedules all Beacon review team meetings


In collaboration with the research staff, attends beacon team meetings for review of orders and makes necessary notes/edits.


Upon, request, assists in staff education on general Beacon considerations, amendment management, and other Beacon topics.


Collect, analyze, and disseminate Beacon process related data upon request. Create and maintain records of submitted protocols, status progress and outstanding questions.


Make the correct judgments based on medical, scientific and experimental knowledge and experience to ensure the quality of work.


Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the Beacon process and the profession. Attend EPIC/Beacon conferences and meetings as appropriate. Participate in creation of OnCore clinical trials management system calendars as time allows.

Preferred Schedule:

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to program
  • Minimum Required Experience: 1+ years of experience in program coordination.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience: 2 years’ experience in program coordination in a medical research or educational environment
