Public Broadcasting welcomes applications for a Digital Content Specialist.

Position Function: The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for implementing and directing the daily marketing and branding activities for Ball State Public Media (Ball State PBS/IPR). This includes concept development and implementation, graphic design, social media, video production, and app-based platform management, website design and management, and synthesis of digital, mobile and online content strategies for all aspect of Ball State Public Media.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Experience using online social media platforms as content creator, including social media, web design, and troubleshooting applications with support of engineering team. Experience creating content for: Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok, HootSuite and other social platforms. Graphic design and video production experience. Creativity and innovative skills, understanding of digital media formats, distribution, and best practices for online content. Ability to use web 2.0 content creator tools, experience using web design software including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In Design, and Adobe Dreamweaver. Exceptional written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience building significant online digital audiences using social media and or/web design. Understanding of HTML 5.0, Drupal, and other languages helpful.
