Position Function: The marketing content specialist serves as a principal writer for Online and Strategic Learning—preparing copy for high-profile projects including intensive writing and storytelling components; composing and editing persuasive, accurate, engaging copy for a variety of audiences within a variety of media; developing and implementing content strategy; ensuring consistency with the university’s brand voice; and writing to meet enrollment or other business goals.
Pay Range: $40,000-$45,000
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of employment. Experience in advertising, copywriting/editing journalism, public relations, or related field. Demonstrated mastery of high-quality, professional-level concept development, copywriting, and editing, including experience writing, editing, and organizing content for websites, social media, and other electronic media. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated comfort level with learning new technologies.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, business, English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field. At least three years of professional communications experience in a public relations or advertising agency, journalistic organization, or a university environment. More than three years of related experience handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Experience or knowledge of adult learners. Experience with a CRM. Thorough knowledge of AP Stylebook.
