Senior Product Marketing Manager, M365 Government

The US government ecosystem is at the forefront of the active and dynamic external security threat landscape. As they respond to changing conditions and new cybersecurity requirements like CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification), Microsoft has an even more significant opportunity to help address security and compliance needs that these institutions require, while also delivering the collaboration and productivity capabilities they need to run their organizations.

As the Product Marketing Manager for US Government Cloud, you will be at the center of our efforts to help the US Government ecosystem secure their environments through CMMC compliance and other key regulations. You will be at the forefront with a marketing strategy and go-to-market to help customers to get compliant and improve their security postures, shaping and communicating the value proposition and narrative for Microsoft 365 Government to our sales field, partners, and customers.

This is a highly visible opportunity to accelerate our business across Modern Work, Security, and Compliance. You’ll play a leadership role in addressing customer needs and shaping the vision and value of Microsoft 365 Government, an area of significant interest and importance to leadership.

You will partner with engineering, helping ensure the value proposition and roadmap represents what customers want and need. You will use your customer understanding, technical acumen, and market insights, along with skillful storytelling, to build compelling assets and programs to help customers understand our vision, roadmap and latest release. You will be a spokesperson and evangelist, working with customers, partners, and our sales field to drive adoption and satisfaction with the management and core infrastructure that powers our services.



  • Drive field and partner leaders internal and external to develop customer awareness and channel education and support new M365 Government solutions and initiatives in support of CMMC.

  • Partner with field and engineering on adoption, including scale and white-glove customer initiatives.

  • Own positioning and messaging for Microsoft 365 Government to support CMMC go-to-market.

  • Product advocate and evangelist to customers, partners, and sales

  • Influence engineering to deliver a compelling vision, value proposition, and roadmap.

  • Drive external thought leadership through analysts, press, advocates, and influential communities.

  • Customer and compete market insights.



  • Experience developing successful marketing strategies and driving aligned in-market execution.

  • Experience developing to-customer messaging & positioning in commercial and/or public sector.

  • Proven strategy skills to drive product and marketing investment decisions.

  • Great collaboration skills, ability to work across and bring together multiple diverse teams.

  • Self-awareness, the ability to be self-critical and a strong desire to learn and grow.

  • 3-5+ years technology product management, program management, mgmt. consulting, or similar

  • Work experience in public sector or related ecosystems preferred.

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science / Engineering (preferred), Marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
