The University of Arizona’s College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) seeks a highly qualified Marketing Specialist to create, manage and implement a wide variety of marketing, communications, and community outreach initiatives. In addition to being a college of the University of Arizona, CAST operates as a branch campus and is located in Sierra Vista, Ariz. The Marketing Specialist works closely with both CAST and Branch Campus Leadership to build a strong team of culturally diverse faculty and staff who are committed to preparing traditional, post-traditional, and transfer students for success in a 21st-century workforce. The Marketing Specialist builds and maintains working relationships with UA Main Campus marketing and communicators groups as well as statewide, regional, and local stakeholders. As such, the Marketing Specialist attends meetings in Tucson, Sierra Vista, and neighboring communities as needed. The Marketing Specialist should either live in Sierra Vista or be willing to travel to Sierra Vista for community engagement in the region, as necessary. The Marketing Specialist will assist College and Campus leadership in advancing the land grant mission of the University to include assisting with diversity hiring through communications with Historically Black College & University (HBCU)/Minority Serving Institution (MSI), minority and women’s professional organizations, and other culturally diverse organizations.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications or a closely related field; OR equivalent advanced learning attained through professional-level experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of marketing and communications experience.
Experience with desktop publishing software and practices
Experience with digital publishing
Experience with writing and editing press releases.
