Job Description
PK-12 Initiatives Director: Manages the office of PK-12 Initiatives including the implementation of the day-to-day activities as they relate to the recruitment and retention of Hispanic-Serving School Districts consistent with established goals, objectives, scope, budget and policies. The Director will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Youth Leadership Development Forum, the PK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium and the College and Career Exploration activities that are part of the annual conference. Primarily responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the office of PK-12 Initiatives as currently funded and securing future funding for activities within this program such as University Tours. As Director, he/she will work with the Executive Director of Student and PK-12 Services to ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. The Director will also provide program, project and administrative support to ensure that departmental goals and objectives are accomplished. Master’s degree required or doctoral degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years related experience in higher education and/or a K-12 educational setting with experience and background in program development, implementation, and management. Working knowledge of K-12, higher education and issues affecting Hispanics in education. Bilingual-English/Spanish Skills a Plus. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (Located in San Antonio, TX)
