Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director of Student & PK-12 Services, the Student Development Manager’s primary duties for this position will be to develop, implement and manage the Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program, the ERG Mentorship Program and coordinate La Red Leaders in Residence network. Other duties include providing support for programs and services that fall under the Department of Student and PK-12 Services, including the Emerging Leaders’ Summits and the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute as well as assisting the Executive Director and Assistant Director with other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will bring experience, wisdom, and energy to this role, along with a strong passion for the mission of enabling underserved students to graduate from college. They will be a self-sufficient professional who is both bottom line and results-oriented. The candidate will know how to utilize contacts and relationships to accomplish various tasks. They should have very high attention to detail and follow-through skills. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent required; two to four years of related experience and/or training preferred. Ideally 2+ years of experience working with college students in a career readiness capacity, orientation, counseling, advising, retention, or closely related field. Previous experience with learning management systems, uploading material, addressing technical issues, and analyzing metrics. Ability to effectively present information in a professional manner and respond to questions about student services and other HACU programs to the public in an informative fashion. Bilingual-English/Spanish Skills a Plus. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (Located in San Antonio, TX)
