Job Description

HNIP Program Coordinator: Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Federal Relations and HNIP, the Program Coordinator will assist in planning and coordinating HNIP’s activities and processes to support the recruitment, selection, placement, and successful development of the students’ internship experience with federal, state, and local non-profit agencies. He/she will manage programmatic efforts for HNIP, while working with Director of HNIP and Strategic Initiatives. He/she will also support the work of the program and provide exemplary customer service to our applicants, selected interns, and agency liaisons. He/she will also manage the professional development program for interns to include, but not limited to, identifying the speakers, and coordinating the logistics of the activity. The HNIP Program Coordinator is also responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of HNIP and its critical components around community with students and other key stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in education, communication, business, social science, or related field, with 1-2 years’ experience in student services or student program development. Experience in service-related industries, project management, student development and/or student recruitment. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (Located in Washington, D.C.)
