Job Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Development, plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates ongoing fundraising programs, including annual fund, major gifts program, special events, and provides support to the capital campaign. Carries out the day-to-day activities of the Development Department consistent with established goals, objectives, scope, budget and policies. Primarily responsible for planning and executing individual donor prospecting, soliciting, and giving. Also, responsible for creating and maintaining the alumni database. As Manager, he/she will work with the Executive Director of Development to ensure that the financial and activity goals and objectives of the department are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Candidate must be results oriented, able to travel periodically and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other PC-based software. Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of 2 years related experience in fundraising in a higher education and/or nonprofit setting with experience and background in donor prospecting, individual annual giving and general development activities. Experience with Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred. Bilingual-English/Spanish Skills a Plus. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
