(Archived) HACU Capital Campaign Director
Capital Campaign Director: Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Advancement and Marketing, the HACU Capital Campaign Director is a seasoned manager and leader who oversees and directs all the operational aspects of the HACU fundraising campaign for the National Innovation Center for Hispanic Education (NICHE). The Capital Campaign will solicit support for the construction of the HACU’s headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, and for launching and establishing six program institutes. The incumbent is responsible for the successful and effective planning and implementation of the Capital Campaign in consultation and collaboration with other related HACU staff. This position is projected to function through the operational requirements and timelines of the Capital Campaign until Spring 2024, with the possibility of extension. Requirements include a master’s degree in business administration, philanthropy, higher education, public administration or other fields and 10 years of management experience, preferably in higher education, are required; A doctoral degree in those fields and similar management experience is desirable. Minimum of 3 years of proven development experience in soliciting major gifts (greater than $75,000), preferably with experience in a capital campaign. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential to successfully discharge the above duties. Basic Spanish oral proficiency is desirable but not required.
