Assistant Director of Organizational Development and Learning

The Ball State University Human Resource Services Department is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to design and implement the University’s training and development programs. Position Function: This position will report to the Senior Executive Director of Human Resources, and will provide direction in the design and delivery of programs, coaching, skill development and other initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of employees and drive the strategic mission of the University. This position will create and execute a comprehensive organizational development and employee learning plan in collaboration with university stakeholders. Perform needs assessment; design and deliver programs; measure and evaluate effectiveness and manage on-boarding programs.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university. At least five years of related experience that must include planning and developing workshops/training sessions.

Minimum Other: Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and relationship building skills; strong collaboration and teamwork skills; strong organizational skills; knowledge of adult learning principles.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in organizational development, organizational leadership, human resources, business administration, or a related field. Experience in Human Resources, experience working in higher education and experience facilitating learning programs with diverse audiences. Certifications and experience in assessments, developmental instruments and programs such as DiSC, MBTI, 360 assessments, DDI, and StrengthsFinder. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP a plus.

The salary minimum for this position is: $65,000
