Job Description

Ball State University is seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with hiring departments across campus and assist them in developing recruitment and outreach plans. Position Function: The Assistant Director for Talent Acquisition will collaborate with hiring departments to create and implement recruiting plans designed to recruit, hire, and retain diverse qualified candidate pools in order to fill a variety of positions. The Assistant Director will perform local community outreach activities to promote a variety of career opportunities with Ball State University and develop candidate pipelines. In addition, they will stay. abreast of industry standards and recommend overall recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least five years of experience in Human Resources with a background in talent acquisition/recruitment. Experience using an online talent acquisition system. Three years demonstrated experience of successful recruiting and staffing.

Minimum Other: Supervisory experience; Process improvement experience. Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing recruitment plans. Excellent customer support. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and experience with applicant tracking systems. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships. Familiarity with social media, recruitment databases, and professional networks. Strong understanding of inclusive hiring practices and strategies.
