Job Description
Overview:
The recruiting coordinator collaborates with hiring departments to identify and attract a diverse and talented workforce by managing job boards and advertising, as well as representing the university at conferences and other external recruiting events to develop a robust pipeline of applicants.
The recruiting coordinator consults with hiring managers and committees to discuss position requirements, selection criteria, and recruitment strategy. This role also provides training for the applicant tracking system and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and labor laws. This position interacts heavily with external applicants and internal users in a high volume recruiting environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be adept at relationship building with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the recruitment field within higher education
- Minimum of 2 years of professional human resources experience
- Familiarity with web based applicant tracking systems
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize daily workload
- Strong editorial skills; be detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Experience training hiring managers and/or presenting in front of large groups
- Knowledge of Commonwealth collective bargaining agreements
- Ability to speak Spanish

Office activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and interaction with computer equipment; occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 5-10 pounds.
This is an off site position that requires some on site, in person duties.
