Position Function: Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Partner, facilitate and oversee UHRS processes such as employment advertising, metrics, and reports; serve as an HR liaison for assigned customer areas. Advise and counsel employees, supervisors, and administrators regarding university policies and state and federal laws and regulations that impact the human resources functions. Provide guidance regarding talent acquisition, retention, classification, compensation and other related Human Resources matters. Serve on and lead HR project teams.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; an Associate’s degree and two additional years of experience or four years of additional work experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. At least one year of experience (either full or part-time) in an office and/or professional setting, with some experience in human resources.

- Develops HR and business process improvement solutions.
- Gathers and analyzes facts and data for business solutions.
- Provides guidance to managers regarding HR practices.

- Maintains objectivity during critical evaluation process.
- Engages in preliminary analysis of collected data and reports findings to senior HR staff.
- Develops knowledge in the use of data, evidence-based research, benchmarks, HR and business metrics to facilitate decision-making.
Interpersonal Communication
- Listens actively to understand stakeholder concerns at the operational level.
- Demonstrates support for HR organizational initiatives in communication with stakeholders.
- Notifies upper management of appropriate issues or concerns.

- Demonstrates willingness to develop and grow understanding of global and cultural effectiveness

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Work experience in human resources performing work related to the recruitment function. Experience working in higher education or the public sector. CCP; PHR or SPHR certification.
