Job Summary
Under general direction, the incumbent manages human resources functions for Parking and Operations which includes Parking and Transportation Services, University Print Shop, Campus Copier Program, Property, Asset Management and Receiving and Mail Services. Responsibilities include, but not limited to recruitment, compensation, professional development, leaves and employee relations and acts as the primary liaison with the centralized Human Resources units. Facilitates the completion of other centralized functions such as events, training, business continuity planning and other duties as assigned.

- Ability and desire to work in a flexible, collaborative manner and to provide open feedback to customers, stakeholders, executive management, supervisors, coworkers, and staff is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of collective bargaining processes and campus and CSU policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively perform a wide variety of HR functions such as employment, professional development, classification, compensation, leave processing, workers compensation, progressive discipline, employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a flexible and collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and create various types of written documents at a level appropriate for the position.
- Ability to develop training programs and coordinate large scale events.
- Ability to utilize independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in performing job responsibilities.
- Ability to think critically and provide appropriate and sound resolutions to problems.
- Ability to supervise subordinate staff and provide direction to managers in matters relating to Human Resources.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required. Experience in employment and employee or labor relations preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP highly desirable.
Physical Summary
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Salary Range: $5,722 - $8,583 per month
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
