Position Function: Responsible for administering all benefit and retirement plans, provide benefit and retirement communications, conduct benefit and retirement presentations and training events, provide customer service and resolve employee benefit and retirement issues; ensure accurate accounting of insurance expenses, manage special benefits-related projects.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; OR Associate’s Degree plus an additional 2 years of related experience; OR High School diploma plus an additional 4 years of related experience. At least one year of benefit administration, human resources, or related experience; proficient with Microsoft Excel; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of benefit plans and terminology, including consumer-driver benefit programs; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with internal and external customers; ability to easily and effectively communicate complex information in a meaningful manner; strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, strong interpersonal relationship building skills with a demonstrated ability and commitment to creating a culture of service excellence; highly organized and detail oriented; ability to manage several projects simultaneously and work under strict deadlines.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in human resources, business administration, management, finance, or related field. At least three years of experience in a benefits, human resources, or related field; experience using Banner and on-line enrollment systems. Knowledge of federal and state regulations including ERISA, COBRA, PPACA, and IRS regulations.
