Position Function: Serve as the advisor to the Homecoming Steering Committee, organize all student events and marketing efforts. Plan, manage, implement, and direct alumni engagement initiatives in support of the mission and strategic goals for assigned colleges and the Ball State University Foundation; collaborate with campus partners and internal Foundation team in the overall planning and administration of alumni engagement activities.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three or more years of relevant experience working with volunteers and/or students.
- Experience in the management and execution of events to include marketing, planning, and strategic engagement.
- Effective written and oral communication skills along with strong organization skills.
- Ability to function cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals; willingness to work weekends and events.
- Willingness to travel.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in higher education setting and working with academic units, campus partners, and student leadership.
- Experience with volunteer recruitment and management.
- Working knowledge of Blackbaud or other CRM database system.
