Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

Seventy-five percent teaching, twenty-five percent research appointment with service activities required for promotion, merit-based pay raise, and tenure. Ability to teach traditional and online courses is expected. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program. The applicant is expected to help with improving the Design & Development and Engineering Technology program including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and application for academic accreditation and certification programs (i.e. ABET, ATMAE).

Educational Requirements for the Position

An earned Doctorate degree, or ABD by May 2023, in Engineering Technology with Design & Development emphasis, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with Engineering Design & Technology emphasis, Industrial Technology with Product or Architectural design emphasis, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Architecture/Architectural Technology or Engineering, or other closely related fields

Experience Required for the Position

Desired areas of interest include product design and development, engineering design and technology, industrial design, manufacturing and production systems, architectural design, or other subjects related to engineering design and development.

Other Requirements for the Position

Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Three years of design industry, college teaching experiences are preferred.
