Job Description
Ball State University welcomes applications for a Grant Writer to partner with Teachers College faculty and staff to prepare grant proposals for submission to external agencies. Assist faculty, staff, and the Dean’s Office with writing, reviewing drafts, and improving proposals in collaboration with Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) and the Vice Provost for Research. Identify funding agencies and ensure grant proposals are aligned with agency requirements. Consult with SPA on budget development.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or closely related field from an accredited institution from an accredited institution. At least two years of experience managing and coordinating writing projects. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in education or closely related field from an accredited institution from an accredited institution. Successful history of writing externally funded grant proposals; four or more years managing and coordinating complex writing projects; and ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines.
