Position: Full-Time Lecturer (Academic Year)
Effective Date: August 17, 2023 or January 22, 2024 (1-Year Appointment/2-Semesters, Renewable)
Salary Range: $4,530 - $6,056 (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Required Qualifications:
- M.A./M.S. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Forensic Science, or a related discipline [Candidates working toward completion of a master's degree will be considered as long as official notification of completion of the master's degree can be provided by August 1, 2023 (for Fall semester start) or January 1, 2024 (for Spring semester start)]
- Specialization in crime scene investigation/field forensic science through previous work experience
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in teaching or training excellence at the college or professional level
- At least four years of varied, field-based work experience
- Experience working successfully with a diverse student population
- Demonstrated commitment to/experience of student mentorship
- Experience testifying in court
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in crime scene investigation/forensic science/criminology/criminal justice. [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.]
- Manage CSULB Criminalistics Lab
- Mentor students in research, including master's thesis supervision
- Develop relationships with faculty in related disciplines and/or local justice agencies or community groups to create interdisciplinary academic/practitioner partnerships
- Contribute to the growth of the School, including through developing a crime scene investigation program
- Participate in service to the school, college, university, profession, and community
