The Family Engagement Site Coordinator will extend the family engagement work currently in place at Longfellow Elementary School in Muncie, IN. This full-time, grant-funded position will involve establishing positive relationships with families, school staff, and community members and organizations to promote children’s optimal development and school success.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Associate’s degree and a minimum of two additional years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. At least two years’ experience in schools, youth-serving programs, and/or other community-based agencies or organizations. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff, a diverse student body and families, as well as a team of professionals at both the school and the university.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Experience and/or knowledge of elementary education and/or early childhood education. Verbal and written ability to communicate in Spanish. Experience working in the neighborhoods served by Longfellow Elementary School.
