Job Overview

Under the direction of the Associate Director for Strategic Analytics, the Student Success Analyst provides research and analytic support for campus initiatives and programs related to student success and graduation initiatives.

Incumbents of the Research Technician II classification carry out detailed research plans, collection and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data, and presentation of findings to inform institutional planning and decision-making of assigned initiatives.

Incumbents of the Research Technician III classification are responsible for designing and developing detailed study plans, leading stakeholders in assigned initiatives, and applying advanced research and statistical methods, in addition to the duties outlined in the Research Technician II position.

Position Summary

Student Success Analyst (Research Technician II or III)

This recruitment is to fill one full time position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period. Classification to be determined by the education and experience of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

Research Technician II:

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,834 - $5,834 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,981 - $7,204 per month

Research Technician III:

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,834 - $6,834 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,789 - $8,664 per month
