Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Sam Houston State University is seeking applicants in the area of Strategic Management with a secondary interest in a management related field. Duties will include teaching, both face-to-face and on-line, graduate and undergraduate classes in the area of strategic management, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, and providing services to the department, college, University, and appropriate national organizations. We seek individuals who are excellent teachers that can bring experience-based credibility to the classroom while also advancing the increasing research reputation of the department and the college. Qualification as Scholarly Academic under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s COBA) and ability to maintain that qualification.
Educational Requirements for the Position
PhD in Management from an AACSB accredited program; ABD considered.
Experience Required for the Position
Candidate must have classroom experience. Industry experience is a plus.
Other Specification
Individual will typically teach 9 hours per semester, engage in research, and support the college through service. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to publish in peer reviewed journals.
