Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of SHS Operations, the Registered Nurse III assists in the development and implementation of nursing standards, policies, and procedures for Student Health Services. The Registered Nurse III also acts as the Lead Triage Nurse, overseeing operational flow and processes for triage and other clinical areas.

Education and Experience

Equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible nursing experience required. Graduation from high school or the equivalent plus completion of a professional nursing program in an approved school of nursing or by additional preparation as approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. The Registered Nurse III must possess a more comprehensive understanding of nursing processes. Experience in Nursing leadership; staff training preferred. Ability to relate well to others/excellent communication skills.
Licenses / Certificates

Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California. Possess and maintain valid CPR/AED certification.

Hiring Range:$4,793 - $8,148 per month.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,793 - $9,249 per month

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Time Base

Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
