The Assistant Director of Personnel and Guest Engagement is responsible to interview and place all full-time and part-time University Dining positions, maintain accurate employee schedules, maintain an accurate employee records system, and oversee and monitor employee performance appraisals. The successful candidate will lead and supervise subordinates resulting in good organization and minimal stress, promote teamwork, and execute excellent customer service that exceeds customer expectations. Position Function: In conjunction with the University Dining leadership team, assist in the management of University Dining Operations including but not limited to; interview and placement all full-time and part-time University Dining positions, maintain accurate employee schedules, maintain an accurate employee records system, oversee and monitor employee performance appraisals, provide leadership and support for the departmental training of all University Dining employees. Directs the planning and coordination of conferences and university events using university resources, service providers and facilities. Serve as a member of the University Dining Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent. Over five years of experience in university food service management, human resources or related experience.

Minimum Other: Skills in oral and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Additional related experience, additional years of supervisory experience.
