Usual duties:
This is a 75% teaching, and 25% advising/recruiting appointment. This is a one year position with renewal contingent on funding. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the discipline of Plant & Soil Sciences – Floral Design [PLSC 2399], and Animal Science – Animals & Society [ANSC 2360]. Both courses will be taught on the Blinn Community College Campuses in Brenham and Bryan locations. Additional duties will be to recruit and advise all students in the SHSU/Blinn Ag Team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to teach both disciplines are expected. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate program, develop a student recruiting and advising plan and be a leader of the SHSU/Blinn Ag Team.
Degree Requirements:
An earned Master or Doctorate degree in an agricultural discipline is expected. ABD candidates will be considered.
Experience Requirements:
High School, Community College or University teaching experience required. Documented floral artistic experiences in educational or business setting, as well as classroom and budget management are expected.
