The College of Communication, Information and Media’s Digital and Community Engagement Coordinator will assist in strengthening the connection between our college, students, alumni, and community. They will work closely with our Dean’s Office team to coordinate college level events, execute high impact engagements, maintain social media channels, and act as a liaison between us and relevant university divisions. Position Function: In collaboration with the Dean and Associate Dean, this position will be responsible for developing and executing CCIM’s community and digital engagement strategy to promote the image and reputation of the College through events and media. The Program Manager will have a deep understanding of CCIM audiences, investors of the College and University and communication strategies to engage and inform each audience. This position will serve as the college’s liaison with relevant university divisions and is responsible for high-impact college specific engagement materials and events for a wide-range of stakeholders including faculty, students, staff, alumni, prospective students, and industry partners.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least one year relevant professional, educational or public relations/marketing experience including; ability to develop and implement multi-platform messages and public events.
Minimum Other: Proficient with content creation and management software for production, editing and web development. Outstanding oral/written/editing communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communication, marketing, educational technology or related discipline from an accredited institution or Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Demonstrated experience and leadership in communications, public relations, content marketing or related field. Strong project management experience, including managing internal and external resources. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to focus, collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment with shifting priorities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent writing and verbal skills, including communicating, collaborating. Strong analytical capability, to drive storytelling and to improve performance. Digital and social media literacy. Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign. Mastering 1 or more Adobe Creative Suite software is a big plus. Ability to manage and train a team of direct reports (student workers.)
