Job Summary

Working under the direction of the Director of Research Integrity and Compliance - The Research Compliance Specialist will be responsible to provide administrative services to the operations of Research Compliance regulations, mainly in the areas of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR), Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative and analytical support for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
  • Administrative and analytical support for Responsible Conduct of Research Program (RCR)and Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Program.
  • Administrative and analytical support for the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of and experience with Responsible Conduct of Research, and/or Financial Conflict of Interest preferred. Knowledge of CITI Online training program preferred. Knowledge of electronic research compliance regulation management platform (e.g., IRBManager) preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work with a wide range of constituency ranging from faculty to students to administration. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal including excellent grammar skills. Ability to conduct face-to-face presentations to students, faculty, and administration. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated commitment to and experience with advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Demonstrated experience/skills on telecommunication such as Zoom, Teams, etc.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience

Equivalent to a Bachelors' degree. Two (2) years of hands-on experience in the areas of research compliance (IACUC, IBC, RCR, FCOI) required. Completion of PRIMR IACUC 101 or equivalent. PRIM&R Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA) strongly preferred.

Compensation

The targeted salary may be set as high as $4,667 per month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $3,518 to $6,791 per month.

Time Base

Full-time temporary position for two (2) years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
