Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of Assistant Director of Advancement Services, the Gift Processing Assistant will process gifts tendered by check, cash, credit card, stock and EFT donations to the CSULB 49er Foundation. In addition, will print and mail gift acknowledgments, archive department documentation, process gifts of property and provide administrative support to department.
Key Responsibilities
- Process gifts to the CSULB 49er Foundation including those tendered by check, currency, credit card, web-based, EFT/wire and stock. Processes Gift in Kind (donated property)
- Maintain CyberSource Credit Card Processing System
- Archive department gift documentation and quality assurance duties
Ability to perform detailed administrative work requiring accuracy and speed. Ability to understand and follow established procedures and policies. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to analyze situations accurately and request assistance when needed. Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing). Ability to interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of individuals. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume department. Ability to pro-active by identifying potential problems/issues. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to understand and apply the principles of gift processing. Basic skill requirements include but are not limited to ten-key by touch, advanced typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Must be detail oriented, able to take constructive criticism, be customer services oriented, be professional and interact positively with others.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to one (1) year of administrative support experience required.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,338 to $4,097 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one (1) year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
