Job Description

Ball State University’s Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology and Counseling welcomes applicants for a one-year contract faculty appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor of Counseling Psychology.

Position Function:

Highly qualified scholar within counseling psychology to teach courses in the graduate programs in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology and Counseling.

Teaching-Practicum supervision and participation in departmental clinic training activities; teach courses in the graduate programs consistent with teaching expertise in relevant area

Research-Keep abreast of recent scholarly developments in areas of specialty and incorporate into teaching. Conduct and publish scholarly research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in counseling psychology. The candidate must demonstrate professional competence in a specialty area within counseling psychology.

Preferred Qualifications:

License-eligible as a Health Service Provider in Psychology in the State of Indiana. Special consideration will be given to candidates who can also contribute to other graduate programs within the department; ability to mentor students on diversity issues and facilitate immersive learning experiences.
