Ball State University

Ball State University is seeking a dynamic, team oriented individual who is committed to providing exceptional patron and client service in the administration of event planning and management for activity at Emens Auditorium, Pruis Hall or other designated sites on our campus. Responsibilities of this position include coordination of event scheduling, staffing, security, hospitality services, and on site management for events as required. The regular hours for this position will include evenings and weekends. Emens Auditorium is located in the heart of the BSU campus in Muncie, Indiana. Position Function: In collaboration with the Director, plan and administer the functions pertaining to the management and operations of university performing arts facilities as well as the multi-disciplinary, performing arts presentations associated with this department. Facilitate staffing, optimal scheduling, risk management, emergency planning and safety, quality control of services; provide on-site management as required for events occurring in Emens Auditorium, Pruis Hall and Sursa Hall.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Five years’ experience in public assembly facility management, event management, hospitality or other related field.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field. Additional years of experience in events management, Hospitality, food service industry or other related field.
