Job Description


Iowa Wesleyan University is seeking a Registrar to collaborate and administer registration practices, best practices for student success, and facilitate the continuity of services in the Registrar’s Office.


  • Continue to collect graduation responsibility worksheet/checklist to promote graduation requirements in the student’s first year at the University. This will promote communication and responsibility between the advisor and the student.
  • Work on and change older policies within the catalog to promote student retention and student success. Examples: credit for life learning, double dipping policy, prior learning credit, etc.
  • Continue to review and update military and veteran policies to stay up to date with new DoD regulations, policies, and reports
  • Continue to work with Graduate and Professional Studies, financial aid, and the business office to provide military students a clear billing statement and understanding their benefits.
  • Collaborate with any future partner schools through data, communication, and policies.
  • Collect grades, oversee directions on grades, and contact instructors for grades
  • Go to professional development opportunities to learn best practices and to stay in compliance.
  • Serve on academic council, curriculum committee, academic standards, MTSS, and assessment committee
  • Assist the Student Success Center director in uploads to attendance and grades and contacting networks to assist students
  • Plan various campus events
  • Aid in accreditation for education team and HLC
  • Communicates with various schools about already made articulations about promoting changes, future students, and language.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Master’s degree
  • Must be able to work in a flexible task environment as a supportive and creative team member, and be able to handle the pressures of working within deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, self-directed, outcome-oriented, and strong customer service presence
  • Ability to learn and utilize new internet based and computer technologies/applications.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and work effectively in a team environment as well as work independently to achieve department goals.
  • Must have knowledge of FERPA, student privacy laws, and GDPR.
