Coordinator III - Student Success Program Coordinator (full-time, temporary) at Sam Houston State University

Educational and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s preferred. Three years of experience in a related field. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates Academic Success Center Programming.
• Programs can include but are not limited to orientations to the center, class visits, workshops, seminars series, strategic partnerships with faculty and departments.
• Assesses student and campus needs for programming.
• Collaborates within the ASC and with departments across campus.
• Coordinates academic support program calendar for the ASC in partnership with ASC program staff selecting topics, securing presenters, reserving locations, troubleshooting concerns, assessing knowledge learned, attaining participation data.
• Creates programming schedules and work with center staff to coordinate facilitators.
• Serves as primary contact for faculty and departments interested in partnering on academic success initiatives and projects.
• Oversees the work of assigned program staff.
• Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities.
• Confers with staff on program issues and problems and implements solutions.
• Recommends and develops program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Interprets policies, rules, and regulations and ensures they are followed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs complex administrative and supervisory program work.

Other Specifications
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other University departments, personnel, and other agencies.
This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued funding. Funding expected to end on or before 08/31/2026.
