Ball State University welcomes applications for a Data Quality and Governance Analyst. Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research and Decision Support, the Data Quality and Governance Analyst will manage all phases of assigned projects (i.e., initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing) by developing realistic project plans and schedules by analyzing organizational process assets, enterprise environmental factors, task dependencies, resource requirements, work breakdown, and departmental strategy and priorities. This position will keep stakeholders informed of project statuses, including, but not limited to, milestone achievements, toll gate progress, risks, and any issues that may adversely affect project schedules. The Data Quality and Governance Analyst will focus on establishing and will ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.
The Data Quality and Governance Analyst will serve as the HelioCampus primary functional support. The Data Quality and Governance Analyst will identify use issues and resolution, conduct application training/workshops; serve as the functional user liaison between the end user and technical support.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in social sciences, education, business, or related area involving social science research skills. At least one year of experience in a university institutional research or similar office carrying out analytic and reporting activities involving faculty members, academic departments, and colleges. Experience with R, SPSS, SAS, SQL, or Tableau. Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Demonstrated ability to write clear concise reports and present technical information to a variety of audiences.
