Ball State University’s Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time contract faculty position in Legal Studies available August 2022.
Primary responsibilities will include contributing to the teaching and administration of the department’s nationally-ranked Legal Studies program. This growing program currently serves over 125 majors and prides itself in being an American Bar Association approved program. Legal Studies majors take courses in a variety of legal practice areas, including family law, civil and criminal litigation, alternative dispute resolution, constitutional law, criminal law, administrative law, and business law. Students learn legal theories and practical skills that give them a strong foundation for success in a variety of legal careers. The program also served as an excellent foundation for students considering law school.

Minimum Qualifications: All requirements for Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school completed by date of appointment.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at the college level. Experience teaching undergraduate and/or law school courses on various legal topics. Experience directing/managing university academic program.
