The Department of Accounting and Finance within the Jack H Brown College of Business and Public Administration seeks a diverse group of candidates to fill tenure-track position(s) in Accounting beginning August 2022. The Jack H Brown College is AACSB accredited and has five Departments and one School - Accounting and Finance, Information Decision Sciences, Marketing, Management, and Public Administration, and a School of Entrepreneurship. The Department of Accounting and Finance has more than 1,000 students in four undergraduate concentrations and three Master programs. The application is open until the posted position is filled or cancelled.
Candidates are expected to show excellence in or good potential of teaching, scholarly research, and service/community service. Candidates take leadership roles in developing new innovative Accounting programs, promoting research environment within the Department, mentoring or training our students to be Accounting professional license holders, and serving community (e.g. Voluntary Income Tax Assistance -VITA). Supporting the University’s and the Jack H Brown College’s strategic plans, which include partnership with community to enhance the social, economic, and cultural conditions of the community and beyond, is highly regarded. Teaching at both San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campuses may be assigned.
ABD or Ph.D. in Accounting from AACSB Accredited programs.
Possession of Professional experience, VITA experience, and/or CPA license is an advantage. Experience in a diverse cultural setting is also a plus.
