Ball State University is welcoming applications for a Senior Systems Analyst.
The Senior Systems Analyst for the Financial Information Systems and Technology department, will support Business Affairs with primary focus for the Office of University Controller, Office of Accounts Payable, and Payroll and Employee Benefits departments. This includes supporting daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business processes for Banner Finance, Banner Human Resources and Banner Fixed Assets. In particular, this position will focus on how best to align and leverage Banner technology to real-time Business Affairs needs.
This position will work to design, create, and maintain reports using Argos and other reporting tools. In addition to Argos reporting, this position will maintain, and collaborate to design new data feeds between the Banner systems and third-party systems. To assure timely information, this position must quickly resolve unanticipated problems through expert understanding of the Banner systems and Business Affairs processes. This position will also provide critical secondary backup to all additional systems within the Financial Information Systems and Technology department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrated deep technical knowledge in the deployment and management of enterprise technologies. Five or more years of experience in a technical leadership or project management-system capacity at the enterprise project or group level; extensive experience at the senior engineering level designing, deploying, and managing systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied technology, MIS, or advanced technology field. Experience with Ellucian’s Banner ERP system, including Banner Finance and/or Banner Human Resource. At least three years of experience with SQL, and complex SQL query generation. Experience with Evision’s Argos reporting tool.
