Financial Reporting and Systems Analyst

Ball State University is accepting applications for a Financial Reporting and Systems Analyst in the Office of University Controller. The position offers a great opportunity to learn and be challenged by the University’s financial reporting and finance systems. Working with a team and reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, you will be exposed to a variety of accounting and operational processes across campus.
This position will complete university financial reporting. Establish and maintain security for university Banner Finance users; maintain and troubleshoot functional systems controls for Banner Finance; complete systems testing in preparation for upgrades; remain current on proposed system upgrades; perform Fixed Asset system data entry and reporting; create training material and provide training to various university departments regarding proper recording of financial transactions and use of Banner Finance; maintain finance approval queues and rule codes; perform cash flow duties as needed; design and maintain the Office of University Controller’s webpage.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university. At least two years of financial accounting, fund accounting or audit experience. Practical experience with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Knowledge of Banner systems and report writing. Experience in higher education. Certified Public Accountant
