Ball State University welcomes applicants for Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Housing and Residence Life.
The successful candidate will provide overall leadership and direction for the Department of Housing and Residence Life, and L.A. Pittenger Student Center and Programs; supervise professional, service/support, and para-professional staff in the management of facilities, personnel, budget and management for the assigned departments; participate as a senior member of the Student Affairs staff in planning, program evaluation, budget development and policy formation.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree. Seven years of progressive, responsible experience in student affairs; administrative experience in housing and residence life; understanding of auxiliary budgets; supervisory experience. Clear evidence of excellent skills in collaboration, communication, planning, program evaluation, supervision, budget management, and organizational management.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree. Experience with emergency response, strategic planning, inclusive excellence, and community engagement.
