Ball State University’s Health and Promotion and Advocacy team seeks candidates for a Health and Wellness Coordinator. Health Promotion and Advocacy (HPA) provides inclusive health and well-being education, prevention, and survivor-centered support.
This position will contribute to HPA and Ball State University by coordinating health and wellbeing outreach and educational materials for the campus community; assessing campus health and wellbeing needs; evaluating services; and working collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders to meet the health and wellbeing needs of the students.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Public Health, or other human service related discipline from an accredited institution. Demonstrated commitment to health and wellbeing; demonstrated skills in quality customer service; experience with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in public health, health promotion, health education, or other related discipline from an accredited institution. At least two years of experience in a university-based health services program, Student Affairs department, health center, or wellness institute; public speaking experience and skills; evidence of research and scholarly activity and ability. Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity; excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; excellent organizational, relationship, and analytical skills; ability to perform all job duties. Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Certified in Public Health (CPH) designations (or be eligible and intend to become certified).
