Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology

The Department of Biology invites applications for a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Introductory Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology contract position available for 2021-2022 academic year.
The successful candidate will join the Departments of Biology and Chemistry in the newly constructed Foundational Sciences Building, which features collaborative space, a research library and computer labs, and cutting-edge teaching and research laboratories. https://www.bsu.edu/academics/collegesanddepartments/csh/news-events
Primary responsibilities: Teaching Introductory Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology courses.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in the Biological Sciences or related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment is required for the title of Lecturer. Effective written and oral communication skills; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by a teaching statement and/or teaching evaluations.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in the Biological Sciences from an accredited institution and by date of appointment is required for the title of Assistant Teaching Professor; demonstrated teaching ability and/or evidence of scholarly activity, as demonstrated by student evaluations or by publications.
