We are excited to welcome into the Office of Student Life an Assistant Director for Leadership Programs. This position will oversee the Excellence in Leadership program, the Leadership Minor, Skills Infusion, and will directly supervise a Graduate Assistant.
This position will plan and implement student leadership development experiences, programs, services and resources, including the Excellence in Leadership program, the leadership minor, leadership study abroad, and the Learner Experience Record. Promote the success of student organizations and their leaders, and support the mission of the Office of Student Life and Division of Student Affairs activities and actively promote the Student Experience Record to students.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited university or college by the date of appointment. One year of related experience. Skills in time management and meeting deadlines, attention to detail, exceptional customer service, planning, ability to execute a plan, leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills; creativity/vision.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited university or college by the date of appointment in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or a related field. One year of experience working with leadership development programs; in higher education settings with college students and student organizations; excellent oral and written communication skills.
