Assistant Director of the Multicultural Center

With the opening of a new Multicultural Center, Ball State University is looking for an Assistant Director. This ongoing position also includes an excellent benefits package.
This position will represent the Multicultural Center at various events; coordinate campus-wide educational and awareness programs; supervise the EXCEL Mentor program, especially in the absence of the Director.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university by August 1, 2021. Experience working in higher education in the area of diversity, inclusion and/or multicultural issues. Evidence of skills in programming, organization, communication, advising and program development.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related fields. At least one year of a graduate assistantship or professional experience in higher education in student affairs administration; experience working with students of color; experience working with student organizations; experience with intervention strategies for student success.
