Can you take faculty/student awards, alumni success, college activities and turn them into an event, tweet, or post that tells the CCIM story? Can you work with multiple partners at the University to be sure that story resonates with Ball State University’s mission and strategic plan? The College of Communication, Information, and Media at Ball State University is hiring a Program Manager for Community and Digital Engagement. This is a new position that will work in collaboration with the Dean and relevant divisions across the University to promote the image and reputation of the College through college-level events, content, and media.
In collaboration with the Dean and Associate Dean, this position will be responsible for developing and executing CCIM’s community and digital engagement strategy to promote the image and reputation of the College through events and media. The Program Manager will have a deep understanding of CCIM audiences and investors of the College and University and develop communication strategies to engage and inform each audience. This position will serve as the college’s liaison with relevant university divisions and is responsible for high-impact college specific engagement materials and events for a wide-range of stakeholders including faculty, students, staff, alumni, prospective students, and industry partners.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. At least three years relevant professional, educational or public relations/marketing experience including; ability to develop and implement multi-platform messages and public events. Proficient with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Final Cut Pro or Premiere. Outstanding oral/written/editing communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communication, marketing, educational technology or related discipline from an accredited institution or Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum three years of experience and leadership in communications, public relations, content marketing or related field. Strong project management experience, including managing internal and external resources. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to focus, collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment with shifting priorities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects. Reputable interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent writing and verbal skills, including communicating, collaborating and influencing at the leadership level. Strong analytical capability, to drive storytelling and to improve performance. Digital and social media literacy. Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign. Mastering 1 or more Adobe Creative Suite software is a big plus. Experience managing and training a team of direct reports (student workers.)
