Ball State University has an opportunity for a Nurse Manager to oversee the operations of a COVID vaccination clinic. Under the authority of the Delaware County Health Department (DCHD), Ball State University will offer a COVID vaccination clinic administering vaccinations on a weekly basis. The number of vaccinations will depend on vaccine availability and patient demand. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of both Ball State University and DCHD’s COVID response strategy, supporting vaccination efforts for our local community at large.

This is a temporary position, anticipated to run for at least 10 months. The Nurse Manager will work 8 hour or 10 hour shifts, for approximately 20-25 hours per week, depending on vaccine volume and patient need. Clinic hours may vary but will include mostly day shifts with potential for evening shift opportunities.

Position Function: The Nurse Manager will oversee daily clinic operations and ensure safe patient care practices. When needed, the Nurse Manager will also administer vaccines to patients and document care outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: Current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association BLS Provider. Ability to consult and communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Two years of professional nursing experience, OR equivalent education/experience.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN. Two years of charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience.
