The College of Health is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to serve as the Director of the East Central Indiana Area Health Education Center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders and will have experience in preparing and presenting information to students, faculty, administrators, community members, and other groups and individuals with an interest in improving health in underserved and rural populations. This position is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals and educators with a strong knowledge of health professions and healthcare systems to serve in a leadership role.
The annual salary range for this opportunity is $60.000 – $73,000.

Position Function: Provide programmatic and administrative leadership of the East Central Indiana Area Health Education Center.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in health/medical field, health care planning or policy, education, business, or related area by date of employment. At least three years of combined experience in community development, health professions education and training, clinical work in rural or underserved communities, or provision or provision of health systems-related technical assistance.
Minimum Other: Knowledge of the theory and practice of public health and understanding of assessment and evaluation activities. Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external audiences. Ability to assemble, analyze, and present data; ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks accurately. Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, teambuilding, and problem solving skills. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience writing and managing grants; experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of healthcare related educational programs; experience building coalitions and partnerships; work experience in rural health care systems. Familiarity with the communities of the East Central Indiana AHEC region.
